Referenced Previous EISs
The proposed Yahthumb Solar Project would be the eighth utility-scale PV solar project on the Reservation to be recently evaluated in an EIS. The previously evaluated solar projects on the Reservation include:
While the solar site associated with the proposed Yahthumb Solar Project would occupy a different footprint than the previously evaluated PV solar projects on the Reservation, the previously analyzed facilities, location, and many of the resources/uses evaluated would be similar to Yahthumb Solar Project. Analyses from the previous resource investigations are incorporated by reference in the Yahthumb Solar Project EIS, where applicable.
The EISs for these previous projects on the Reservation are available here for review:

The proposed Yahthumb Solar Project would be the eighth utility-scale PV solar project on the Reservation to be recently evaluated in an EIS. The previously evaluated solar projects on the Reservation include:
- K Road Moapa Solar Facility (K Road) - 350 MW PV solar project, Final EIS published in 2012, about 1.8 miles south of the Yahthumb Solar Project, constructed and operating (BIA 2012)
- Moapa Solar Energy Center (MSEC) - 200 MW PV solar project, Final EIS published in 2014, about 6.1 miles southwest of the Yahthumb Solar Project, approved but not constructed (BIA 2014a)
- Aiya Solar Project (Aiya) - 100 MW PV solar project, Final EIS published in 2016, about 7.6 miles northwest of the Yahtumb Solar Project, approved but not constructed (BIA 2016)
- Eagle Shadow Mountain Solar Project (ESMSP) – 300 MW PV solar project, Final EIS published in 2019, about 1.2 miles southwest of the Yahthumb Solar Project, currently under construction (BIA 2019)
- Arrow Canyon Solar Project (ACSP) – an expansion of the solar field of the approved MSEC solar project, Final SEIS published in 2020, about 4.8 miles southwest of the Yahthumb Solar Project approved but not constructed (BIA 2020)
- Southern Bighorn Solar Projects (SBSP) – two PV solar projects with a combined capacity of 400 MWs, Final EIS published in 2021, about 0.8 miles southeast of the Yahthumb Solar Project, currently in the NEPA process (BIA 2021)
- Chuckwalla Solar Projects – four PV solar projects with a combined capacity of 700 MWs, about 4.3 miles southeast of the Yahthumb Solar Project, currently in the NEPA process
